Job Title: 3rd Shift Production Scheduler 

Location:  Davenport, IA 

Job Type: 12 month contract, W2 

Expected hours per week: 40 hours per week, OT available but not guaranteed 

Schedule: Onsite, 10:00pm-6:00am, Monday-Friday 

Pay Range: $33.21 per hour with a $1,000 attendance bonus after 90 days

Job Description:  

Position Summary 

We are seeking a Production Scheduler to support manufacturing operations by coordinating production schedules within laser cutting and forming environments. This role works closely with supervisors, engineers, and fellow schedulers to ensure efficient workflow, material availability, and production execution. The position requires a strong balance of planning, communication, and floor-level engagement. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to support laser cutting, forming, and fabrication operations while meeting production goals and delivery requirements. 

  • Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and manufacturing personnel to resolve scheduling conflicts, adjust priorities, and improve workflow efficiency. 

  • Monitor production progress, analyze schedule performance, and make real-time adjustments to support operational needs. 

  • Spend approximately 50% or more of the time on the production floor working directly with operations teams and the remainder in an office environment performing scheduling and planning activities. 

  • Utilize Excel and manufacturing planning systems to analyze production data, track schedules, and support decision-making. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field with at least 1 year of scheduling experience; OR 

  • High school diploma/GED with 5+ years of scheduling experience in a manufacturing or production environment. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate-level Excel skills such as PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis. 

  • Experience using ERP systems; SAP experience is strongly preferred. 

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments. 

Work Environment 

  • Onsite position supporting manufacturing operations. 

  • Requires frequent interaction with production personnel and regular presence on the manufacturing floor. 

  • Collaborative team environment working alongside supervisors, engineers, and scheduling professionals. 

Top Requirements 

  • Production scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment. 

  • Intermediate Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis). 

  • Strong communication skills and willingness to spend significant time supporting operations on the production floor.
