Production Supervisor

Location: Horicon, WI – Onsite
Shift: 1st shift (5:00 AM – 1:30 PM)

  • Overtime: Before/after shift and weekends likely
    • Saturdays required; Sundays as needed
    • May require support 2 hours before or after shift start
  • PPE Requirements (Day 1):
    • Safety shoes with metatarsals
    • All required PPE
  • Driving: Use of Gators likely
  • Work Environment: Union manufacturing environment
  • Pay Rate: $44.00 – $46.00 per hour

Position Overview

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising production employees and overseeing first?shift assembly operations to ensure department and organizational goals are met. This role represents the clients’ high integrity standards and plays a key leadership role in safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster an equitable employee environment through effective communication, feedback, and guidance
  • Manage first?shift assembly operations to achieve and sustain safety, quality, and productivity goals
  • Lead onboarding, training, and development of production employees
  • Direct and execute departmental continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitor control plans and troubleshoot workmanship issues to meet or exceed quality standards
  • Implement, monitor, and sustain safety programs and housekeeping
  • Set manufacturing priorities based on production schedules and adjust staffing and hours to meet customer commitments
  • Administer employee policies, practices, procedures, and work rules
  • Monitor and act on individual, line, and budget performance

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, including quality, tooling, tool design, total preventive maintenance, and facilities
  • Understanding of Production Systems, Lean Manufacturing, Just?in?Time, Kanban, and Demand Flow Technology
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast?paced manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Cross?functional experience in areas such as accounting, manufacturing, engineering, operations, warehousing, distribution, supply management, or production supervision

What Makes You Stand Out

  • 2+ years of demonstrated leadership and team mentoring experience
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience in a factory environment
  • Knowledge of CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plans)
  • Project management experience, including planning, coordinating resources, and delivering results
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)

Education

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in:
    • Supply Management
    • Business
    • Manufacturing Technology
    • Engineering
  • Associate degree acceptable
  • High school diploma with sufficient relevant experience considered
