Epitec is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for an opportunity with our automotive client in Livonia, MI. As a Warehouse Supervisor, the candidate will play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency, ensuring safety and quality, and leading a union workforce to meet daily production and inventory targets.
- This is an ongoing W2 contract with potential for conversion
- This is an afternoon position (Mon – Fri, 3:30pm – 12am)
- This position offers $26.30/hour, 10 days PTO, medical/retirement contributions (if desired)
Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day operations of UAW/union workforce within a warehouse/distribution environment
- Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health & safety standards
- Manage manpower planning, staffing, and daily workload allocation
- Oversee inventory control, including cycle counts, aging material, and accuracy checks
- Monitor WMS and operational KPIs (quality, productivity, attendance, delivery)
- Lead shift start-up meetings and maintain clear communication with frontline teams
- Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure process adherence
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities
- Manage employee relations, attendance tracking, coaching, and performance feedback
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth material flow and operations
Qualifications:
- Experience in warehouse, distribution, or production operations
- Prior experience supervising UAW/union employees strongly preferred
- Proven leadership ability managing hourly teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, quality processes, and operational metrics
- Ability to work closely with both operations employees and leadership
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Solid business acumen and problem-solving ability
- High level of self-motivation, emotional resilience, and accountability
- Ability to multitask and perform in a fully onsite, high-demand environment
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
