Epitec is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our automotive client’s team. As a Production Supervisor, the candidate will play a pivotal role in supervising unionized employees and leading the production of world-class smart vehicles.
Top Responsibilities
- Coach and Lead: Drive safety, quality, and productivity through standardized work and team development.
- Monitor Operations: Respond to Andon alerts and verify smooth, safe, and quality production flow.
- Continuous Improvement: Support problem-solving at the lowest level and implement lean manufacturing practices.
- Material Flow Management: Ensure proper movement of materials from receiving to production and delivery.
- Team Communication & Recognition: Build capability among Team Leaders and Members while fostering a positive work environment.
- Union Workforce Leadership: Manage and lead unionized hourly personnel while administering the collective bargaining agreement.
- Change Management: Oversee flawless introduction of new parts and engineering changes through proactive planning.
- Data Accuracy: Identify and correct gaps in CMMS and production counts.
Key Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or GED required.
- Experience:
- Safety management experience.
- Prior experience managing a unionized workforce.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
- Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt preferred).
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to listen and engage teams.
