Job Title: Program Manager I
Contract Duration: 3 months, possible extension

Summary
The Program Manager directs, controls, administers, and oversees an enhancement or development program. This individual is ultimately responsible to the agency and is accountable for driving the entire effort from start to finish. The Program Manager ensures the program is completed on schedule and that the final product meets business, technical, and established quality requirements.

- 2 to 4 years
Education
- Preferred Education: Four-year college degree or equivalent technical study.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development of estimates for enhancement or development efforts, including planning, analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
- Accountable for the delivery of all work tasks identified in the program plan.
- Responsible for capturing and reporting required program management metrics.
- Adjust and revise estimates when necessary.
- Ensure all scope changes follow established processes and are properly documented.
- Ensure new estimates are approved by the client and agreed upon.
- Manage and track program progress against the program plan.
- Monitor project milestones and phases to ensure the project remains on schedule and take corrective action when necessary.
- Prepare periodic status reports for the program team, team leads, group leads, program managers, and other stakeholders.
- Plan, organize, prioritize, and manage multiple work efforts across application teams.
- Develop detailed program plans for enhancement or development efforts.
- Accountable for the final program management evaluation review with stakeholders and obtaining approval upon program completion.
- Responsible for tailoring and baselining all program templates.
- Accountable for scheduling or monitoring status reviews, peer reviews, program management inspections, and software quality assurance work product and process reviews with designated resources.
- Notify team leads of project timelines, milestones, phases, work request target dates, and approved executable work packages.
- Communicate and collaborate with users and clients as necessary.
- Coordinate and present proposals to agencies as required.
- Analyze and distribute reports on program metrics associated with work items related to improvement measures.
- Ensure all processes and activities are followed.
Required Skills
- Project management experience implementing Information Technology solutions (2 years)
- Experience implementing both on premise solutions as well as SAAS and hosted solutions. (2 years)
- Experience Practice development and improvement
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Planview PPMP
