About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer 4 to support capital projects focused on systems integration of manufacturing equipment, facility operations, and structural systems such as cranes and lifting devices. This role is ideal for an engineering professional with strong expertise in equipment integration, construction standards, and technical project execution within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimate quantities, materials, labor, and equipment costs to determine project feasibility.
- Support systems integration for manufacturing equipment and building operations, with a structural focus including crane systems and lifting devices.
- Develop technical specifications and functional project requirements.
- Review, recommend, and approve new industrial equipment and modifications.
- Ensure compliance with standards related to quality, safety, ergonomics, cost reduction, and hazardous materials.
- Maintain and update engineering standards and specifications.
- Prepare reports on project progress and engineering documentation.
- Estimate equipment/material installation costs and contribute to ROI evaluations.
- Provide design guidance and act as the primary technical point of contact.
- Approve drawings, specify equipment, and generate purchase requisitions.
- Oversee contractor work and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Perform troubleshooting to determine causes of equipment or system inefficiencies or failures.
- Recommend solutions for designing efficient, cost-effective systems and stay current on industry advancements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8–10 years of engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
- Proficient in Creo 3D CAD, or equivalent (Inventor, SolidWorks).
- Strong understanding of shop operations, maintenance, and machine tools.
- Experience designing or redesigning service systems (heat treat, filtration, material handling, utilities, ventilation, etc.).
- Experience leading heavy machine installations and foundation projects.
- Project management experience; familiarity with MS Project or Primavera.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder relationship skills.
- Ability to collaborate closely with Operations and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
