Title: Project Manager
Location: Cary, North Carolina
Details: 12-month contract with ongoing need, opportunity for direct hire, fully onsite role
Pay Rate: $40.00 – 43.00/hr. with benefit inclusions
Job Summary:
The Project Manager will lead and coordinate non-IT projects across engineering, R&D, financial systems, and product rollouts. This role involves creating and updating project plans, managing communications and Power BI dashboards, and facilitating change management. The PM will work closely with client teams to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules
- Facilitate planning sessions, control meetings, and chartering for medium to large projects
- Coordinate integration of technical activities across teams
- Track and manage program-level issues, risks, scope changes, and costs
- Generate and improve customer deliverables and reporting packages
- Communicate project status to stakeholders and recommend solutions to resolve schedule and cost issues
- Lead regular project update meetings (virtual and in-person) and maintain consistent communication with team members
Years of Experience and Education:
- Experience: 5–7 years in project management
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
- Certifications: PMP preferred
Skills Required:
Technical Skills (Required):
- Proficiency in project management software (Primavera or MS Project)
- Strong command of MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Technical Skills (Desired):
- Familiarity with project accounting systems
