Rural Health Community Networks Project Manager Jr
Location: Rhode Island (Hybrid – Local Candidates Required)

Epitec is seeking a Rural Health Community Networks Project Manager Jr to support the implementation of innovative healthcare initiatives focused on improving access, coordination, and health outcomes across rural communities in Rhode Island.
This role will work closely with community stakeholders, healthcare organizations, public health partners, and local leaders to help develop and implement rural community health networks. The ideal candidate brings experience in public health, health policy, program administration, community engagement, or related fields and has a strong understanding of Rhode Island’s rural healthcare landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Support implementation of rural community health networks within an assigned Rhode Island region.
- Coordinate with community engagement teams and network stakeholders to support planning and execution efforts.
- Partner with healthcare providers, community-based organizations, municipal leaders, and other key stakeholders.
- Assist in developing infrastructure, processes, and tools needed to launch and sustain community health networks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local community partners.
- Identify and help resolve challenges associated with implementing new health initiatives.
- Collaborate across project teams to align community health network efforts with broader program objectives.
- Support data collection, reporting, and progress tracking activities.
- Contribute to strategic planning and policy-related initiatives that improve healthcare access and outcomes.
- Participate in cross-functional project teams to ensure compliance and program alignment.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Health Policy, Public Policy, Human Services, a licensed health profession, or a closely related field.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Experience
- 2-5 years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Public Health
- Health Policy
- Public Administration
- Program Administration
- Community Health Programs
- Healthcare Operations or Related Fields
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of Rhode Island rural communities and key stakeholders, including:
- Municipal government
- Healthcare providers
- Community-based organizations
- Resident leaders
- Social service agencies
- EMS and fire departments
- Community advocates
- Knowledge of community organizing principles and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Experience supporting program planning, implementation, research, analytics, or policy initiatives.
- Understanding of factors impacting healthcare access and health outcomes in rural populations.
- General knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, healthcare finance, and public health objectives.
- Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with public sector, community health, or population health initiatives.
- Background collaborating with multidisciplinary stakeholders and community partners.
- Experience supporting health transformation, healthcare access, or health equity programs.
