JOB SUMMARY FOR PROJECT/PROGRAM MANAGER (NON-IT):
Seeking a Project/Program Manager t oversee complex Advanced Electrical Services (AES) projects within Caterpillar’s Electric Power Division. This role involves managing financial, commercial, contractual, and technical aspects of projects from order entry through commissioning and close-out. The ideal candidate will have strong project management expertise, business acumen, and communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR PROJECT/PROGRAM MANAGER:
- Coordinate projects, develop detailed plans, and direct integration of technical activities.
- Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients.
- Recruit and oversee staff competence for project execution.
- Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand to assess feasibility.
- Confer with management and cross-functional teams on specifications and procedures.
- Review and approve contracts and cost estimates.
- Ensure adherence to project milestones and resolve issues proactively.
- Interface with customers on technical and commercial matters.
- Monitor project schedules, cost estimates, and profitability alignment with financial plans.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE FOR PROJECT/PROGRAM MANAGER:
- Education & Experience: Associate’s degree with minimum 5 years’ experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree with minimum 3 years’ additional on-the-job experience OR
- Master’s degree or above
- Internships/project work count toward experience if durations are listed on resume.
- Prefer electric power/genset/backup power experience, but other industries considered if commercial/business skill sets are evident.
- Additional experience beyond 5 years will NOT be considered overqualified.
