Expected hours per week: 40 hours per week 

Schedule: Onsite, Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm 

Pay Range: $32.14 per hour

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Purchasing Coordinator to support purchasing and supply chain operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone with entry-level purchasing, supply management, or data entry experience who enjoys working with data, maintaining supplier communications, and supporting procurement processes. The successful candidate will assist with purchase order management, supplier reporting, and ERP system updates while collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Distribute supplier reports, including EDI reports, forecasts, reschedules, and other procurement-related communications.
  • Receive, review, and process purchase order (PO) requests.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate purchasing records within ERP systems.
  • Update purchase orders and enter supplier reschedule responses into the ERP system.
  • Support purchasing activities for less complex commodities and non-inventory materials.
  • Run and distribute operational and purchasing reports as needed.
  • Monitor supplier responses and ensure procurement data is updated accurately and on time.
  • Assist with supply chain coordination activities to support production and inventory requirements.
  • Follow established procurement processes and contribute to continuous process improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Management, Procurement Support, Administrative Support, or Data Entry.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with VLOOKUPs and data management.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a manufacturing, supply chain, or procurement environment.
  • Understanding of purchasing, planning, production, and order fulfillment processes.
  • Knowledge of Epicor E10 ERP system.
  • Experience supporting supplier communications and purchase order management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated relationship-building and interpersonal communication skills.

Education

  • Associate’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.
