Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to ensure product quality through structured testing, strong collaboration, and disciplined execution. This role is focused on driving test coverage, identifying defects early, and supporting the delivery of high-quality features in a fast-paced environment.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented QA professional with deep experience in manual and automated testing who can work independently while contributing to broader test strategy and quality initiatives.

The QA Engineer will partner closely with engineering and QA leadership to execute testing efforts, track quality metrics, and support release readiness across multiple projects, including high-visibility and confidential initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Test Execution & Quality Assurance

  • Execute and maintain manual and automated test cases for new and existing features
  • Write and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Lead test execution for small to medium-sized features and projects

Defect Management & Analysis

  • Reproduce, document, and triage bugs while working closely with engineering teams to drive resolution
  • Conduct bug audits to identify trends and areas of improvement
  • Ensure clear documentation of issues and maintain high-quality reporting standards

Test Strategy & Planning

  • Support QA leadership in developing test strategies and plans
  • Conduct product audits to evaluate and improve test coverage
  • Provide release readiness support for small to mid-sized feature launches

Performance & Specialized Testing

  • Execute testing methodologies such as benchmarking, battery testing, and performance testing
  • Support quality efforts for complex or highly sensitive projects requiring elevated diligence

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and QA teams to ensure alignment on quality goals
  • Participate in status meetings and represent QA when needed
  • Work onsite to enhance communication and ensure efficient execution

Reporting & Metrics

  • Build and maintain dashboards to track test progress and quality metrics
  • Analyze results to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance or a related role

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Proven experience writing and executing test cases and test plans
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing
  • Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with dashboarding tools and tracking quality metrics
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid onsite environment
  • Familiarity with Python, JavaScript, or SQL

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience supporting release readiness processes for product launches
  • Background in performance or systems testing methodologies
  • Experience working on high-visibility or confidential projects
  • Familiarity with data analysis or reporting tools for QA insights
