Pay Range: 45 – 47 an hour 

Job Description:

Join our dynamic Supply Chain team and play a key role in ensuring the successful launch of high-quality vehicles. As an STA Launch Engineer, you will be responsible for supplier readiness, manufacturing feasibility, and quality assurance throughout the product launch process.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement commodity-specific business plans to ensure suppliers meet launch, quality, capacity, and warranty metrics.
  • Lead cross-functional issue resolution with company and supplier leadership.
  • Drive corrective actions for emergency supplier situations to prevent vehicle losses.
  • Ensure supplier adherence to standards, including Q1 certification.
  • Execute PPAP and APQP processes.
  • Use data and metrics to inform future sourcing decisions and improve quality outcomes.

 

Required Skills:

  • Strong background in Quality Management, APQP, and PPAP.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and leadership in supplier issue resolution.
  • Ability to develop and present materials to leadership on short notice.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in manufacturing processes such as casting, machining, forging, stamping, welding, molding, assembly, automation, paint, or chroming.
  • Preferred experience in manufacturing, maintenance, and quality operations.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical/manufacturing experience.
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Engineering.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 75% across North America.
