Work Setting: On-Site | 40 Hours per week
Schedule: 5 days/week, approximately 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $33.50 – $35.50/hr.
**Degree Requirement: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science Engineering required.**
 

Position Summary

The main function of a Quality Engineer is to research and test the design, functionality, and maintenance of products, equipment, systems, and processes while helping develop quality standards. This role supports quality and reliability activities through testing, analysis, and evaluation of products and materials. A typical Quality Engineer has the ability to read and interpret blueprints and evaluate product integrity and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Devise sampling procedures and design forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Establish programs to evaluate the precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
  • May write training materials and conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
  • May specialize in areas of quality control engineering, including design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative application.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
  • Basic experience with engineering-related software applications, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).
  • Well-written communication skills.

Education & Experience Required

  • 0–2 years of experience required.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science Engineering required.
  • Internship experience accepted.
