Position Summary:
If you have ambitions to be a part of a Best in Class organization, the MPC RB Operation team is the place to be! The Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing all logistics activities that support the MPC-US RB business, including domestic trucking, international air transportation, warehouse coordination and inventory control of repair parts and finished goods.
This role ensures smooth, cost-efficient, and compliant movement of returned and repaired devices throughout the supply chain, including the management of triage and repair process for the returned devices from customers as buyer’s remorse.
The position also plays a key role in vendor cost validation, logistics cost audit, and import declaration oversight, maintaining operational transparency and regulatory compliance across all logistics touchpoints.
Role and Responsibilities:
1. Logistics Operations Management & Cost Validation
• Plan and coordinate daily trucking schedules for inbound/outbound shipments between warehouse, repair plants, and customers’ DCs.
• Manage air transportation for international shipments of unrepaired and repaired devices, ensuring on-time flight schedules and compliance with export/import requirements.
• Track and monitor all shipments end-to-end, proactively resolve any transit or clearance exceptions.
• Maintain all shipping documentation (BOL, airwaybill, invoice, packing list) with full audit traceability.
• Oversee performance of trucking, forwarding, and warehouse vendors to ensure TAT compliance on delivery.
• Review and validate vendor operation cost data, including trucking and dock handling costs.
• Identify cost-optimization opportunities through route consolidation, vendor performance analysis, and carrier utilization review.
2. Vendor Management & Operation Support
• Oversee vendor’s buyer’s remorse operation by coordinating timely triage, repair routing, and in-house transfer processes.
• Support the issue resolving and system trouble shooting needed for the vendor’s on-time operation
• Generate the dashboard and master data to track and manage the vendor’s daily performance
• Communicate with cross functional departments (ENG, QA) for the smooth operation aligning with the process
3. Import/Export & Duty Compliance
• Oversee daily import declaration status for inbound shipments and ensure all entries are filed accurately and cleared on time.
• Manage import duty data, declared values, and duty rates in alignment with compliance and customs requirements.
• Track all import/export documentation (commercial invoice, packing list, arrival notice, customs entry) for record retention and audit readiness.
• Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal compliance teams to ensure adherence to trade regulations and minimize clearance delays.
4. Parts Inventory & PO Management
• Manage inbound/outbound parts logistics supporting local repair operations.
• Track part usage and replenishment levels and issue POs.
• Perform monthly inventory to ensure accurate stock level.
5. Reporting
• Maintain weekly/monthly logistics KPIs and issue reports for the results.
• Prepare reports on import duty exposure, vendor cost audit results, and logistics cost-saving initiatives.
• Support process improvement projects to reduce turnaround time, freight spend, and operational risks.
Skills and Qualifications
1. Background/Experience
• Required a Bachelors degree or higher
• At least 5-7 years of relative verifiable professional experiences (Logistics operation, Inventory Control or 3rd party vendor Management operation) are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of domestic trucking and international air freight operations.
• Experience with import/export documentation, customs clearance, and basic duty/tariff procedures.
• Skilled in vendor management, cost validation, and invoice audit.
• Proficient in Excel, ERP (SAP preferred), and shipment tracking systems.
• Previous experience in the telecommunications industry a plus.
2. Necessary Skills and Attributes
• Bilingual ability (English/Korean) is required.
• Ability to development and maintain excellent working relationships with multiples levels within the company and with external contacts including customers, authorized service agents, etc.
• Ability to identify the business needs driving internal / external customer requests and translate into company objective
• Demonstrated expertise working with related systems and effective 3rd party vendor performance management is preferred.
• Work under very little supervision and guidance to identify and ensure achievement of team goals and to complete individual work assignments within established time frames.

Physical/Mental Demands:
Work is generally performed in both an office and warehouse environment. Operate a computer keyboard and view a monitor more than 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requires considerable work utilizing high visual acuity / detail, numeric / character distinction and moderate hand / finger dexterity. The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time is under 25 pounds. Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenges and project management deadlines. Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include PC’s, printers, copiers, faxes and other equipment commonly associated with an office work area. May require working additional hours beyond normal schedule. Travel varies depending on task. Consistently demonstrates a commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest and ethical responsibilities.
