Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Real Estate Title Agent professional to join our team. This role requires a deep understanding of land rights, conveyance documents, and contract terms, as well as the ability to perform thorough due diligence and manage complex workloads with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and analyze various land-related documents including fee simple, rights-of-way, leases, easements, licenses, permits, and releases.
- Conduct internal and external due diligence to verify accuracy and completeness of land rights and identify deficiencies requiring curative action.
- Apply Owner’s established policies, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance and consistency in real estate operations.
- Organize and prioritize workload effectively, adapting to changing priorities and working independently under pressure.
- Prepare and maintain spreadsheets and documentation to support real estate activities and reporting requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of settlement instruments and contract terms.
- Strong ability to read and interpret land legal descriptions.
- Proficiency in land title research, including courthouse and government office records.
- Experience preparing chain of title documentation.
- Advanced skills in spreadsheet creation and data organization.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Right of Way/Real Estate industry, with at least 1 year as a title agent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with GIS or land management systems.
- Experience working with utility or infrastructure projects.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
