Recruiting Coordinator (Contract)

Pay: $18-$20/hr
Location: Peoria, IL
9-Month Contract
First Shift: 40-hours/week

 

Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional looking to start or grow your career in Talent Acquisition or Human Resources? We are seeking a Recruiting Coordinator to support the full recruitment and onboarding lifecycle while partnering closely with Recruiters, Sourcers, Hiring Managers, and candidates.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the recruitment team throughout the hiring process.
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate calendars for candidates, recruiters, hiring managers, and stakeholders.
  • Generate recruiting-related correspondence, documentation, and candidate communications.
  • Send interview details and ensure candidates and hiring teams are prepared for upcoming interviews.
  • Support offer letter and contract distribution processes.
  • Coordinate background checks, reference checks, security clearances, and other pre-employment activities.
  • Assist with collecting and reviewing onboarding documentation.
  • Update and maintain recruitment systems and candidate records.
  • Support the creation and submission of new hire records for HR processing.
  • Ensure all required day-one documentation is completed and routed appropriately.
  • Partner with recruiters, sourcers, and hiring managers to ensure a smooth candidate experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to learn and work within recruitment systems such as Taleo, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 0-2 years of experience in Recruiting, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting high-volume hiring environments.
  • Familiarity with recruitment processes, policies, and HR procedures.
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of an additional language is a plus.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as Taleo, PeopleSoft, Workday, or similar tools.
