Job Summary
The Resource Scheduler IV is a joint-position role responsible for supporting both work scheduling and resource scheduling activities within the Gas Distribution organization. This role will be cross-trained to manage near-term work schedules as well as longer-range gas distribution scheduling, requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective coordination with internal business partners and external rate-paying customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Gas Distribution scheduling, maintaining schedules approximately two weeks out to ensure timely execution of planned work
- Manage work scheduling activities, coordinating and updating work schedules approximately one week out
- Coordinate labor, resources, and work orders across multiple moving parts to support operational priorities
- Partner closely with internal business partners to align schedules with operational and customer needs
- Provide strong customer service to internal stakeholders and external rate-paying customers
- Verify schedule accuracy, resolve scheduling conflicts, and adjust plans as needed to support field operations
- Maintain documentation and updates within scheduling and work management systems, including SAP
- Communicate clearly and professionally regarding schedule changes, priorities, and constraints
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules, priorities, and dependencies simultaneously
- High attention to detail in a fast?paced, coordination?heavy environment
- Proven ability to deliver strong customer service in a utility or operations setting
- Effective communication and coordination skills with business partners and customers
- Comfort working in structured scheduling windows and deadline?driven environments
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP experience strongly preferred (work management, scheduling, or related modules)
- Prior experience in utility, gas distribution, or field operations scheduling
- Experience supporting both short?term and near?term scheduling horizons
Work Environment
- Office or hybrid environment supporting gas distribution and field operations
- Role involves frequent coordination with operations, scheduling teams, and customer?facing partners
