Job Summary
We are seeking an onsite Ergonomics Analyst to support manufacturing operations in a high-paced production environment. This role focuses on evaluating ergonomic risks, supporting wellness initiatives, and partnering closely with production teams to improve workplace safety and efficiency. The position requires a strong on-floor presence, with approximately 70% of time spent in the manufacturing environment assessing workstations, tools, and processes while contributing to special projects that support operational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct ergonomic risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential safety and injury risks within manufacturing operations.
  • Support work hardening, wellness initiatives, and ergonomic improvement activities for production teams.
  • Evaluate workstations, tooling, and products to recommend practical safety, efficiency, and ergonomic enhancements.
  • Spend approximately 70% of work time on the shop floor in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
  • Safely perform physical tasks, including lifting, pushing, and pulling materials or equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and corrective actions clearly with employees at all organizational levels.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to implement ergonomics-related improvements.
  • Lead or contribute to special projects and perform additional duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations.

Years of Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering, Manufacturing, Safety, Ergonomics, Kinesiology, or a closely related field.
  • A certificate in a safety-related discipline is preferred.
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates without a degree must possess at least 5 years of hands-on manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to work fully onsite in a factory environment is required.
  • Occasional travel between nearby facilities may be required.

Skills Required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an engineering-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to assess ergonomic risks and apply practical solutions in a manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork capabilities.
  • Comfort working in physically demanding environments and following safety protocols.
  • Ability to safely operate company-provided equipment after required safety training and use a personal vehicle for local travel when necessary.
