Senior Cyber Specialist – Digital Enablement

? Job Type: W2 Contract (6 months, strong potential to extend/convert)
? Pay: $60–$71/hour + benefits


About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior Cyber Specialist – Digital Enablement to join our client’s Product Cybersecurity team. This is a consulting-focused role where you’ll act as a trusted advisor to product and engineering teams, helping ensure technologies are secure by design.

You’ll support a diverse portfolio including medical devices, mobile apps, cloud platforms, and eCommerce solutions, influencing cybersecurity strategy across the full product lifecycle.


What You’ll Do

  • Partner with product teams to embed cybersecurity into design and development
  • Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and control evaluations
  • Review architectures and validate security across software supply chains and pipelines
  • Interpret and apply standards (NIST, ISO, etc.) and regulatory requirements
  • Analyze SAST/DAST outputs and penetration test results
  • Recommend mitigation strategies and track remediation progress
  • Develop and influence cybersecurity policies, standards, and governance practices
  • Communicate risks and recommendations to both technical teams and executives

What We’re Looking For

? Must-Have:

  • 7+ years of cybersecurity consulting experience with development teams (software/hardware)
  • Strong experience with threat modeling, risk assessment, and control effectiveness
  • Ability to influence security policies and standards (including emerging tech like AI, cloud, quantum)
  • Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills with ability to present to leadership

? Preferred:

  • Experience in medical devices, IoT, mobile apps, or eCommerce security
  • Background in software development or product security
  • Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, APIs, IAM, and cryptography

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, HCISPP, etc.
  • Experience with phishing-resistant auth (WebAuthn, Passkeys)
