Job Title: Senior Prerequisite Coordinator
Location: 100% Onsite, Wilsonville, OR
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Duration: 12-month contract-possible extension
Pay: $27 an hour


Overview

We are seeking a Senior Prerequisite Coordinator to support high-volume work order processing and permitting coordination for construction and vegetation management projects. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical system proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple processes with accuracy and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinated permitting requirements for complex projects and ensured alignment with business timelines.
  • Assigned and tracked permitting tasks while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines.
  • Monitored permitting processes and troubleshot issues to ensure timely resolution.
  • Created and issued regulatory notifications in compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Identified customer impacts related to planned outages and performed quality checks on outage lists.
  • Created, updated, and monitored design work orders using internal systems.
  • Resolved or escalated work order issues as needed.
  • Developed and improved processes, maintaining proper documentation for efficiency.
  • Served as a subject matter expert, providing training, coaching, and feedback to team members.

Team & Environment

  • Team size: 12 (10 FTEs, 2 contractors).
  • Supports vegetation clearance and landscape restoration work tied to construction projects.
  • Processes approximately 15,000 work orders annually.
  • Primary systems: Maximo and Quickbase (daily use for work order creation and tracking).

Top Priorities

  • High volume work order creation (~20 per day).
  • Strong focus on accuracy and speed, as work directly impacts key stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3–5+ years of related experience (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and focus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong grammar.
  • Comfortable working in a fully computer-based environment with multiple systems.

Core Competencies

  • Intermediate knowledge of electrical distribution systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of department tools and systems.
  • Understanding of distribution construction processes and procedures.
  • Ability to interpret design sketches.
  • Knowledge of permitting laws and regulations related to utilities.
  • Familiarity with right-of-way concepts.
  • Process improvement and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong prioritization, organization, and communication abilities.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Critical thinking with ability to identify process improvements.
  • Fast learner with ability to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Dependable with strong attendance and work ethic.
  • Prior utility industry experience (preferred, not required).
