Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in Medicaid policy, healthcare strategy, regulatory compliance, and program sustainability initiatives. This individual will lead complex Medicaid policy efforts, support healthcare transformation programs, and collaborate with state and federal stakeholders to develop sustainable funding strategies. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of Medicaid waivers, State Plan Amendments (SPAs), federal funding mechanisms, and healthcare policy development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Medicaid policy initiatives supporting healthcare transformation and strategic program objectives.
- Develop long-term sustainability strategies for healthcare programs through Medicaid funding mechanisms.
- Evaluate federal Medicaid authorities and determine feasibility of funding initiatives through available programs and waivers.
- Identify, secure, and manage federal Medicaid authorities, including waivers and State Plan Amendments (SPAs).
- Ensure compliance with federal and state Medicaid regulations and policy requirements.
- Lead policy, legislative, and budget initiatives related to Medicaid-funded programs.
- Maximize federal financial participation (FFP) opportunities across benefits, administrative functions, and operational activities.
- Collaborate with federal agencies, state departments, community partners, and key stakeholders on policy implementation efforts.
- Conduct policy research, analysis, and strategic assessments to support executive decision-making.
- Prepare briefing materials, policy documentation, presentations, reports, and regulatory submissions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Medicaid policy, healthcare financing, reimbursement methodologies, and program sustainability.
- Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while coordinating activities across diverse stakeholder groups.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Medicaid policy, healthcare policy, healthcare program administration, or public sector healthcare initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Law, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience developing policy recommendations, regulatory submissions, and strategic healthcare initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid regulations, funding structures, and healthcare policy frameworks.
- Excellent project management, analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple agencies and stakeholders.
- Experience preparing executive-level presentations, policy documents, and strategic recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MPH, MPA, MHA, JD, or related field).
- Direct experience working with Medicaid waiver programs and federal healthcare authorities.
- Knowledge of Medicaid financing, administrative claiming, reimbursement methodologies, and federal funding programs.
- Experience supporting healthcare transformation, public health initiatives, or grant-funded programs.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulatory compliance, policy implementation, and government funding mechanisms.
- Experience collaborating with federal and state healthcare agencies on policy development and program implementation.
