| Duties: | Responsible for supporting the Product Engineering and Management GDIA team’s connected vehicle feature analytics and foundational data products that require continuous processing of large-scale datasets; contribute to all phases of the product lifecycle including design, development, deployment, and DevOps activities; build and maintain data pipelines and high-performance distributed systems using Java, Python, SQL, and PySpark; develop microservices using Java Spring Boot; deploy production workloads on GCP, AWS, and Azure; utilize Docker, Tableau, and Terraform for containerization, infrastructure automation, and Looker Studio for monitoring and data visualization; apply working knowledge of BigQuery, Postgres, and MongoDB for data storage and analytics; perform data validation and automated testing of APIs using Selenium; and collaborate with cross-functional engineering and data science teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and continuous improvement of deployed systems. Location: Southfield, Michigan and multiple undetermined worksites throughout the US; Salary: $137,280 per year; |
| Minimum Qualifications: | Education: Masters’s – Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Business Analytics and Information Systems, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree); Training: None; Experience: One (1) year in the position above, as a Software Developer, as a Data Engineer, as a Student Research Assistant, or in a related occupation; Other Requirements: Experience must include one (1) year use of all the following: Java, Python, SQL, PySpark, Docker, Tableau, AWS, GCP, BigQuery, Selenium, Postgres, and MongoDB. Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience. |
