Overview
Epitec is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join a high-impact team focused on developing innovative software solutions that support advanced power management, controls, and optimization technologies. This role is ideal for a strong full-stack engineer who thrives in Agile environments and enjoys building scalable, high-quality applications from concept through deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise software applications.
- Create high-level software architecture and technical solution designs.
- Develop and maintain APIs, microservices, and back-end services.
- Build responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using modern front-end frameworks.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, designers, and cross-functional teams.
- Implement Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Deployment (CD) practices.
- Optimize application performance and continuously improve code quality through refactoring and best practices.
- Support software security initiatives, including data protection and encryption practices.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to improve development efficiency and solution capabilities.
- Engage directly with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver customer-focused solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of overall IT experience.
- 4+ years of professional software development experience.
- 4+ years of experience developing web applications using object-oriented programming principles.
- Strong experience with:
- Java
- Spring Boot
- Spring MVC
- Spring Cloud
- Spring JDBC
- REST APIs and Microservices
- PostgreSQL
- Angular, React, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript
- Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, and TDD.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit, Jasmine, Karma, or similar.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of projects and drive tasks to completion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Knowledge of SOAP, WSDL, XML, and SOA-based integrations.
- Experience with Pair Programming and Extreme Programming (XP) practices.
