Epitec is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our automotive client’s team. As a Software Engineer, the candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting a large-scale Jira Cloud environment with approximately 30,000 users.

Top Qualifications
- Jira Cloud Expertise: Minimum 3 years of hands-on administration experience with Jira Cloud and Jira Service Management (JSM), including large-scale environments (5,000+ users; ideally 10,000+).
- Atlassian Suite Knowledge: Proficiency in Confluence administration and integration; experience with Atlassian Analytics, Jira Product Discovery, and Compass.
- Automation & Scripting: Strong skills in ScriptRunner for Jira and Python for automation and integrations.
- Version Control: Solid understanding of Git and GitHub workflows (branching, pull requests).
- Identity & Security: Experience with Azure/Entra or other identity providers, SAML SSO, and Atlassian Access.
- Preferred Skills: Familiarity with Atlassian Forge, Marketplace apps, ITIL practices, and advanced Jira automation.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and configure Jira Cloud, JSM, Confluence, and related Atlassian tools for a large-scale environment (~30,000 users).
- Manage workflows, custom fields, permission schemes, and issue-level security.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to configure JSM service desks and optimize service management processes.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using ScriptRunner, Python, and REST APIs.
- Ensure system reliability, performance, and security; troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Provide on-call support for enterprise-scale Atlassian environments.
- Integrate Atlassian tools with identity providers and maintain compliance with security best practices.
- Support version control and workflow management using Git/GitHub.
