Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Software Engineer to support a cutting-edge research initiative focused on optimizing and maintaining machine learning models. This role will partner closely with scientists and research teams to refactor existing models, improve training and evaluation performance, and ensure machine learning code is clean, scalable, and efficient. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in machine learning engineering, GPU optimization, and model development using PyTorch and Python.
Responsibilities
- Refactor and optimize machine learning models to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with scientists and research teams to implement and enhance ML solutions.
- Optimize model training, evaluation, and inference workflows for efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop, test, and maintain machine learning pipelines and supporting infrastructure.
- Analyze model performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Organize, document, and streamline machine learning codebases and workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to model performance, training, and deployment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience optimizing machine learning workloads on GPUs.
- Strong proficiency in PyTorch.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Hands-on experience developing, training, and evaluating machine learning models.
- Experience writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working directly with scientists, researchers, or research teams.
- Experience refactoring and cleaning up existing machine learning models and codebases.
- Ability to organize and improve machine learning frameworks, workflows, and repositories.
- Experience supporting research-focused or experimental machine learning projects.
