Schedule: 

Monday – Friday, Remote, PST preferred  

 

Pay Range: 

$103.45 per hour

Job Description:  

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop Python scripts to parse and download large datasets from the web in an efficient manner 

  • Write SQL queries to further process data 

  • Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code 

  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices 

  • Troubleshoot and debug software applications 

  • Ensure software applications meet quality and performance standards 

  • Provide timely solutions to technical issues 

  • Document software applications and maintain technical documentation 

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members 

  • Onboard open-source ML models and build data curation pipelines 

 

Requirements 

  • 6+ years of experience in research engineering, ML engineering, or software engineering involving machine learning implementation 

  • Strong proficiency in Python programming 

  • Experience with PyTorch and SQL 

  • Proficiency working with Linux systems and shell scripting 

  • Experience with large-scale software development projects 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail 

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills 

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related field 

  • Experience with machine learning, LLMs, NLP, computer vision, or multimodal AI 

  • Experience with ML infrastructure, ML platforms, or ML backend systems 

  • Experience with web scraping and processing large-scale datasets 

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP 

  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools 

  • Publications, research papers, or conference presentations related to machine learning or AI 

 

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
