Position: Software Testing Senior Associate
Location: Dearborn, MI (Hybrid- 4 days onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time Contract
Pay: $44-48 per hour
Description: We are looking for a creative and experienced Automation test expert to help test and automate fleet management applications. Employees in this job function are responsible for defining and implementing software test procedures, planning, designing, executing and optimizing software tests and automation scripts. They are also responsible for incident triage, reproducing and reporting defects from bug hunt activities or customer reports, and documenting test cases and scenarios.
Responsibilities:
- Define and implement software test strategy, guidelines, policies and processes in line with organization vision, industry regulations and market best practices
- Define advanced test concepts, theories, and principles for highly complex technology and business situations
- Plan, design and execute repeatable tests cases and automation scripts for various software and applications
- Leverage test management tools for test planning, development, execution, monitoring and reporting
- Monitor, triage and escalate incidents related to software products maintained by development teams in line with the organization’s incident management processes
- Conduct and manage root cause analysis for production incidents and embed preventive actions in the form of automated unit and integration tests
- Continuously study, optimize and automate software test methods and tools and automation scripts
Requirements:
- 4+ years in IT and 2 years in testing
- Software Testing: Ability to evaluate and verify applications against design specifications and business requirements to identify defects and ensure quality
- API Testing: Experience testing APIs using Postman or similar tools for functionality, performance, and security validation
- Acceptance Testing / UAT: Ability to perform end?user level validation and sign?off testing
- Agile & SDLC Knowledge: Strong understanding of Agile software development and incremental feature testing
- Application Testing: Expertise in component, integration, and end?to?end testing across platforms, devices, and browsers
- Test Automation: Ability to identify automatable scenarios and develop stable, scalable, and reliable automated test scripts
- JavaScript: Advanced proficiency in writing efficient, maintainable, and scalable test scripts
- Jira: Experience using Jira for defect tracking, test reporting, and Agile workflow management
- Performance Testing: Knowledge of when and how to conduct performance testing
- Quality Assurance Concepts & Standards: Strong advocate for “shift?left” testing and cross?functional quality collaboration
Preferred:
- JavaScript-based automation frameworks
- Selenium WebDriver
- REST API automation and backend testing
- Ability to design, code, review, and maintain UI automation projects
- Software test automation experience across both frontend and backend systems
