Project Scheduler III
Job Type: W2, 1-year Contract
Job Location: Remote
- Candidate must be located in Michigan; minimal travel may be required within the state.
Pay Rate: $55 – $58 per hour
Job Summary:
The Project Scheduler III will support project planning and execution by organizing, implementing, and maintaining a scheduling management system. This role involves working closely with project teams and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project milestones using Primavera P6 and other tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Set up tasks and sub-tasks to meet project contract requirements.
- Log project timelines and status updates in the P6 database.
- Generate scheduled reports for contract coordination and progress tracking.
- Collaborate with project staff and stakeholders to coordinate assignments.
- Analyze critical paths and constraints to recommend alternative work paths.
- Evaluate schedule progress and performance; identify problem areas.
- Support change management processes and maintain status reports.
- Conduct recovery analysis for slipped schedules.
- Work with superintendents, field engineers, and project managers to update weekly schedules.
Required Skills:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with project teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 (layouts, activity codes, resources, group & sort, reporting).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
- PMP or other PMI certification.
- PSP, CST, or other AACEI certification.
- Knowledge of Schedule Quality practices in P6.
- Familiarity with Project Gating procedures.
- Experience with SQL coding.
Education Requirements:
- Minimum: High School Diploma.
- Preferred: Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s Degree.
