SCM Operations Specialist – Home Appliance 

Location: 700 Sylvan Ave., Englewood Cliffs, NJ
Schedule: Fully onsite, Monday–Friday
Contract: 6 months (40 hours/week)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SCM Operations Specialist to support Supply Chain operations for Samsung’s Regional Home Appliance customers. In this role, you will optimize forecasting, manage critical customer demand activities, and drive operational excellence across key supply chain functions. You will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Finance, Customer Service, and HQ teams to improve process efficiency, support inventory goals, and deliver high-quality service to customers.


Key Responsibilities

Forecasting & Demand Planning

  • Lead weekly customer meetings to manage future forecasts and service expectations.
  • Partner with Sales to review Sales/Order forecasts and evaluate week-over-week changes.
  • Drive forecasting accuracy using analytical tools and best practices.
  • Manage CPFR/Forecasting processes, supporting optimal inventory levels aligned with WOS goals.
  • Monitor and enhance forecasting models and KPIs.

Order, Inventory & Customer Management

  • Act as the primary liaison between Samsung Supply Chain, Sales Teams, and customer operations teams.
  • Coordinate forecasting, order management, and data management processes to meet customer objectives.
  • Evaluate documents, production schedules, and staffing requirements to determine material and personnel needs.
  • Track production, raw material consumption, shipment schedules, and inventory levels.
  • Manage product lifecycle transitions, including end-of-life inventory and new product launches.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop and maintain reports analyzing forecast accuracy, orders, inventory, KPIs, and performance trends.
  • Utilize Tableau, Alteryx, and scripting tools for data analysis and predictive analytics.
  • Support cross-functional projects aimed at improving efficiency and strengthening supply chain processes.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Tableau and Alteryx for analytics and visualization.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL).
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, forecasting, and best practices.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge, including VBA/macro programming.
  • Familiarity with SAP and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Experience with CPFR and demand planning methodologies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; higher education preferred.
  • 8–10 years of relevant Supply Chain, Forecasting, or Operations experience.
  • 5+ years of CPFR or equivalent planning/forecasting experience.
  • APICS certification or Project Management certification is a plus.
