Supply Chain Engineer II
Location: Peoria, IL (On?site)
Work Arrangement: On?site, Full?Time
Schedule: First shift | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Contract Duration: 24?month contract (W2)
Pay Rate: $48.00 – $49.50 per hour
Job Summary
The Supply Chain Engineer II supports inbound and outbound logistics operations to ensure timely, efficient material movement across the supply chain. This role focuses on transportation management, material flow optimization, and continuous improvement to support facility and business unit logistics needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support inbound and outbound material flow to ensure efficient shipping, receiving, storage, and delivery
- Provide logistics coordination, analysis, and operational support
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize material flow and inventory levels
- Support transportation planning, including carrier and mode selection
- Monitor carrier performance and support corrective action efforts
- Identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs and premium freight
- Support facility logistics operations and resolve transportation?related issues
- Manage freight expenses, including loss and damage claims
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to support logistics operations
Education & Experience Requirements
- Education:
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum: Associate’s degree
- Experience:
- 2–4 years of relevant experience
- Internships accepted as applicable experience
