Systems Administrator (Contract)
Location: Decatur, IL (On?Site – Full Time)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift (7:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
Duration: 12?month contract
Pay Rate: $40 – $43 an hr
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to provide on?site, first?line IT support in a fast?paced manufacturing environment. This role is critical to maintaining day?to?day technology operations, minimizing downtime, and supporting end users across factory and office systems. The position serves as a key onsite liaison between the facility, vendors, and enterprise IT teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide on?site IT support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, tablets, peripherals, and business applications
- Act with urgency to resolve issues impacting factory and site operations
- Own and manage incoming IT tickets, prioritizing high?impact issues through to resolution
- Serve as the primary onsite point of contact between facility teams, vendors, and enterprise IT
- Support manufacturing systems and site infrastructure to ensure reliable day?to?day operations
- Assist with device imaging, configuration, troubleshooting, and user setup
- Provide basic end?user guidance and training to improve adoption and experience
- Identify recurring issues and support improvements to service delivery and standard processes
- Contribute to digital and automation initiatives such as low?code/no?code applications, data visualization, and process enhancements
Work Environment
- On?site, 5 days per week at the Decatur facility
- Small IT support team (team of 3) with frequent interaction across the factory floor
- Collaboration with shop floor employees, supervisors, and cross?functional teams
- Fast?paced manufacturing setting with real?time operational priorities
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands?on IT support experience; manufacturing environment experience preferred
- Associate’s degree preferred but not required
- Strong experience working with ticketing systems (ServiceNow preferred; Remedy or Jira acceptable)
- Familiarity with Microsoft technologies such as Office, SharePoint, and Power BI
- Experience providing PC and device troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and peripherals
- Mobile device support experience (phones, tablets, end?user mobility)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and connectivity troubleshooting
