Plant Engineer – Manufacturing IT Support
The Plant Engineer will support engine and chassis manufacturing operations across multiple company sites. This role requires travel between locations and collaboration with global teams to troubleshoot technical issues, analyze data, and ensure manufacturing applications and infrastructure meet productivity goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site IT support for multi-shift manufacturing operations, including weekends.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plant floor systems, infrastructure, and end-user tools.
- Collaborate with corporate IT and business stakeholders to prioritize improvements.
- Maintain and support local network and server environments (Windows/Linux).
- Assist with Factory of Tomorrow initiatives involving IIOT, mobile, and software-defined networks.
- Document support procedures and manage assigned workload effectively.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong interest in manufacturing operations and IT integration.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to new technologies.
- Experience with server administration, Cisco networking, Active Directory, Office365, and mobile platforms.
- Familiarity with plant floor automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell) is a plus.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required.
- Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk 1–2 miles per shift.
- Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
