Position: Tech Writer
Location: Dearborn, MI (Hybrid, 4 days on-site),
May also be located in Nashville, TN (commute to the Franklin office)
Employment Type: Full-Time Contract
Pay: $34-37 per hour
Description: The Instructional Designer will design, develop, implement, test, and update engaging and effective learning solutions, including but not limited to eLearning and instructor-led training. This person will collaborate with other Learning & development (L&D) professionals, conduct performance consulting activities with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Expertise with course authoring tools (i.e., Articulate Storyline, Rise, Vyond, Captivate, and Camtasia)
- Ability to apply instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, Agile) to analyze learning needs, define learning objectives, design interactive learning experiences (outline and storyboard), and develop self-paced and synchronous learning solutions
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, from initial concept and stakeholder alignment through final delivery and/or post-implementation review
- Firm grasp of adult learning and instructional design principles
- Expertise in learning solution development of various modalities (i.e., instructor-led, eLearning)
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external subject matter experts and stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (i.e., PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Graphic design and video production experience
- Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and explain them to others
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred:
- Experience developing presentations in PowerPoint
- Experience with SCORM package deployment and management
- Experience with Creative Cloud
