Job Description:
A large automotive company is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to support advanced vehicle testing and fleet operations. This role is ideal for someone with experience in technical support, help desk, service desk, IT operations, customer support, or incident management who enjoys troubleshooting issues and working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Receive, investigate, and triage technical issues reported by vehicle operators and internal teams.
- Create, manage, and update tickets using Jira, ServiceNow, or similar ticketing platforms.
- Follow established troubleshooting procedures and knowledge base documentation to resolve issues.
- Escalate hardware, software, and vehicle-related concerns to appropriate engineering or service teams.
- Document incidents, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps with a high degree of accuracy.
- Monitor trends and recurring issues and provide reporting to leadership and engineering teams.
- Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and operations teams to support fleet uptime and reliability.
- Provide professional customer support through phone, chat, and virtual communication channels.
- Prepare shift handoff reports to ensure continuity across operations.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in technical support, help desk, service desk, customer support, or IT operations.
- Experience using Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk, Salesforce Service Cloud, or similar ticketing systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting customers via phone, chat, email, or remote support tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within automotive, fleet operations, autonomous vehicle, robotics, or technology environments.
- Familiarity with incident management processes and escalation procedures.
- Experience working with knowledge bases and troubleshooting documentation.
- Experience with Confluence, PagerDuty, Microsoft Office, or Google Workspace.
- Background supporting technical products, software applications, or operational systems.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has experience working in a help desk, service desk, technical support, or IT operations environment and is comfortable troubleshooting issues, managing tickets, supporting customers, and collaborating with engineering teams to resolve technical problems.
