Technician I – Electrician Maintenance I
Job Type: W2 Contract
Contract Duration: 6 Months, Possible Extension
Location: Midland, TX 79706
Pay Rate: $30–$34/hr.
Schedule: Night Shift, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Shifts: 12-hour shifts, 5 days per week onsite
Additional Schedule Requirements: Potential overtime and callouts
Job Summary
The Technician I will support the upkeep and preventative maintenance of machines, equipment, and facilities used in pipe manufacturing. This role includes diagnosing electrical and mechanical equipment issues, completing routine maintenance, ordering parts and supplies, and providing repair updates to management and supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Maintain machines and equipment used in pipe manufacturing.
- Perform daily checks on equipment and filters throughout the plant.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues with broken equipment.
- Complete daily, monthly, and yearly preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities.
- Order parts for broken equipment and supplies for preventative maintenance.
- Keep management and supervisors informed of equipment issues and provide updates on repairs.
- Provide on-call support.
- Take oil samples from equipment to be sent for analysis.
- Use oil analysis to help determine when oil in the extruders needs to be replaced.
- Make additions or modifications to equipment to help improve ease of use and operation.
