Senior Software Test Engineer – Embedded Systems

Pay Rate: $50 – $54 an hour
As a Senior Software Test Engineer, you’ll help ensure the safety and reliability of life-saving medical devices. Your expertise will help push boundaries in healthcare innovation.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute critical care tests for CRRT devices within an Agile (Scrum) framework.
- Work with real-time embedded software using Green Hills Integrity OS in a complex multi-therapy electro-mechanical platform.
- Create and execute test protocols including scripted, ad hoc, and exploratory testing.
- Maintain and review test cases in MicroFocus ALM.
- Estimate work, write documentation, and investigate high-priority field issues.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, testers, systems engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver the safest possible solution.
What You’ll Bring
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in embedded software testing within a regulated industry.
- Strong analytical skills and a process-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle methodologies such as Agile, Iterative, and V-Model.
- Passion for patient care and safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with regression analysis, feature analysis, requirements engineering, and use-case development.
- Ability to clearly communicate defects, test methodologies, and progress.
- Willingness to share knowledge and mentor peers.
