UI/UX Designer (Enterprise Applications) Location: Chicago, IL (Preferred) | Peoria, IL | Denver, CO Schedule: Hybrid Duration: 12-Month Contract Compensation: $60-$67/hr

Overview

We are seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer to join a product-focused team responsible for designing complex enterprise applications and workflow-driven digital experiences. This role will partner closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Engineers, and stakeholders to create intuitive, user-centered solutions that improve customer and user experiences across large-scale digital platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end user experiences for enterprise applications and complex digital systems.
  • Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, mockups, and design specifications using Figma.
  • Conduct user research, journey mapping, persona development, and usability evaluations.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective UX solutions.
  • Participate in design reviews, workshops, and planning sessions.
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles and best practices.
  • Present design concepts, rationale, and tradeoffs to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the evolution of design systems, customer experience strategies, and UX standards.
  • Balance user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints when developing solutions.
  • Support developers with design handoff documentation and implementation guidance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of UX design experience focused on enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, or complex workflow-based systems.
  • Strong proficiency with Figma.
  • Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, journey maps, personas, and user flows.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience collaborating with product and engineering teams throughout the design lifecycle.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing large-scale enterprise systems or internal business applications.
  • Experience working within established design systems.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and user-centered design methodologies.
  • Experience facilitating workshops, design reviews, and stakeholder presentations.
  • Exposure to Figma AI, Figma Make, and advanced prototyping capabilities.
