Manufacturing Test Technician

Location: Batesville, IN (On-site)
Job Type: W2 Contract
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1st shift
Pay Rate: $21 – 23/hourly with optional benefits packages including PTO, medical insurance, and 401k

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technician to join our Manufacturing Test Engineering team. This role plays a key part in designing, developing, and supporting innovative manufacturing test systems. It requires a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical devices, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Test Engineers to translate design requirements into test processes
  • Assemble and integrate components of automated test systems (hardware, software, instrumentation)
  • Build and validate manufacturing test processes to meet quality and regulatory standards
  • Operate and maintain test equipment, adjusting for optimal efficiency and quality
  • Improve test processes, tools, and equipment to enhance productivity and reduce costs
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the testing process
  • Perform preventive maintenance and document work per quality procedures
  • Maintain accurate documentation of processes, equipment settings, and production data
  • Execute validation protocols to ensure test system accuracy and reliability
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure product compliance

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or 3+ years of experience in Electronics, Engineering, or Manufacturing Technology
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (medical device industry preferred)
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and FDA regulations
  • Experience with electronic test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes), hand tools, soldering, and assembly equipment
  • Proficiency in software tools such as LabVIEW, TestStand, or other test automation platforms (preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation (schematics, test procedures)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional teamwork
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods
