Job Title: USA – Software Engineer III
Work Arrangement: Remote, EST
Work Duration: W2 Contract, 6 months with opportunity to convert FTE
Pay: $94.00-97.00/hr
We’re seeking a skilled and collaborative RTC Engineer to join our remote team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about real-time communication technologies and eager to contribute to a fast-paced, agile development environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain RTC solutions using protocols such as SIP, RTP, SDP, and WebRTC.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features on schedule.
- Analyze design trade-offs and make informed decisions balancing functionality, performance, and cost.
- Operate independently within a distributed Scrum team.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of RTC protocols and technologies: SIP, RTP, SDP, and WebRTC.
- Familiarity with GraphQL, WebSocket, and network programming.
- Excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills.
- Experience working in agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with FreeSWITCH, Asterisk, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with Lua programming.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Azure.
- Background in client-side RTC development (e.g., PJSIP).
- Understanding of cloud media infrastructure (load balancers, gateways, SBCs, STUN, TURN).
- Experience with on-prem deployment of FreeSWITCH and integration with third-party PBX systems.
Work Arrangement
- This is a fully remote position. Candidates must be comfortable working independently and asynchronously across time zones. Accepting candidates in EST.
