Warehouse Specialist
Location: Hayward, CA (On-site)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, first shift
Pay Rate: $25/hour
Summary
We’re looking for a detail-oriented professional to manage inbound and outbound shipments, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure compliance with SOPs, GMPs, and safety standards. In this role, you’ll lead workflow efficiency, support purchasing through Coupa, and operate material handling equipment to keep operations running smoothly. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Process the receipt of all inbound freight by packing slip and purchase order, and process all outbound shipments from the warehouse ensuring all shipments are labeled correctly.
- Prepare parcels for shipping.
- Replenish product that has been received into its assigned stocking location and handle processing, picking, packing, staging, and shipping.
- Assist the warehouse specialist in cycle counting as needed.
- Help direct the workflow in the receiving area, set priorities, and meet deadlines for the receiving function.
- Read production schedules, work orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Fill work orders, material requests, and sample requests and distribute to Manufacturing, Engineering, and/or Quality teams.
- Kit and stage work orders in specified sequence according to the production schedule.
- Use pallet jack, forklift, and other material handling equipment to move materials.
- Maintain material handling equipment and report any potential problems.
- Perform physical counts, spot-checks, and periodic inventory verification, as well as monthly/annual physical inventory and record keeping.
- Keep raw material, MRO, and Finished Good racks neat and organized, and keep receiving area and aisles clean, organized, and free of hazards and obstructions.
- Transfer material to the production lines from the warehouse physically and in the inventory control system, and transfer “return to stock” material back to the warehouse physical location and in the inventory control system.
- Work with quality receiving and inspection department to ensure materials are properly staged for sampling, proper samples are available with labels, and staged in proper areas.
- Complete bill of lading, packing list, seal assignment, and bar code assignments for shipping orders.
- Comply with SOPs, GMPs, safety rules and regulations, and departmental procedures.
- Assist in completing preventive maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- Requires strong interpersonal and organization skills.
- Proficient in warehouse management systems and PC environments.
- Must be able to lift 10-50 lbs.
- Must be able to operate forklift and other material handling equipment.
- Must be able to work overtime as required.
- Must be able to work independently without direct supervision.
- PIT certification preferred.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required, AA preferred.
- 3-5 years of warehouse and/or technical office experience.
Physical Requirements
- Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Visual Acuity
- Required to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work or make general observations of facilities or structures.
Working Conditions
- Subject to hazards including proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or chemicals.
