Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Registered Nurse to join our Utilization Review team. This role is ideal for RNs with acute care experience and strong technical proficiency who are ready to apply their clinical knowledge in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct utilization reviews using InterQual, MCG, or similar tools.
- Evaluate medical necessity and appropriateness of care for acute and post-acute settings.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality and cost-effective care.
- Document findings and decisions with accuracy and efficiency.
- Navigate multiple screens and systems to manage case reviews.
Top Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2+ years of acute care experience (ICU, ER, Med-Surg).
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM.
- Advanced computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with InterQual / MCG or other utilization review tools.
- Comfortable working with multiple monitors/screens.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with SNF, Rehab, or LTACH settings.
Education & Certifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
