Location: Long Beach, CA (Onsite – Office & Vehicle Lab)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Duration: 3 month contract (possibility of extension not yet determined)
Pay Rate: Up to $62/hour with 10 days PTO
About the Role
We are looking for a Voice Assistant Test Specialist to support the validation of next generation in vehicle voice assistant technology. This role is ideal for a native or fluent Portuguese speaker who is tech savvy, detail oriented, and interested in hands on testing of automotive voice and UI systems.
You’ll work closely with engineering and development teams to ensure voice commands are accurately recognized, correctly translated, and perform as expected in real vehicle environments.
What You’ll Do
- Perform voice command testing in Portuguese to validate speech recognition and system responses
- Support additional English voice testing as needed
- Translate English voice prompts and test cases into Portuguese
- Execute testing on lab benches and in prototype vehicles
- Verify end-to-end voice assistant behavior (E2E testing)
- Identify, document, and track software defects
- Retest fixes and enhancements as development progresses
- Collaborate with engineering and development experts
- Maintain clear test documentation and defect reports
- Support occasional software or configuration updates on test vehicles
Typical Work Breakdown
- ~60% testing
- ~15% translating test cases
- ~15% writing and tracking defects
- ~10% meetings and team syncs
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in Portuguese and English (spoken and written)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured test processes
- Comfortable documenting issues clearly and accurately
- Tech savvy with a willingness to learn new systems
- Able to collaborate across engineering and technical teams
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, but native Portuguese speakers who are computer?savvy are strongly encouraged to apply
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with voice assistants, speech recognition, UI, or software testing
- Automotive, vehicle testing, or technology industry experience
- Familiarity with bug tracking or test documentation tools
- Additional languages (French and/or Spanish)
