Warehouse Service Associate
Location: Santa Clara, CA (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $25 an hr
Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Warehouse Service Associate to support the readiness and maintenance of medical equipment used in patient care. This role is primarily based in a service center environment and involves cleaning, disinfecting, inspecting, and performing minor repairs on medical equipment to ensure it is safe, functional, and ready for use.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including participation in 5S activities
- Follow all safety protocols and attend required safety meetings and training
- Identify and address safety concerns proactively
- Lift and move equipment (up to 65 lbs) using proper ergonomic techniques
Equipment Handling & Logistics
- Load and unload wheeled medical equipment at service centers and customer sites
- Safely maneuver equipment within warehouse and truck environments
- Secure equipment during transport to prevent damage
Repair & Maintenance
- Perform routine cleaning, disinfecting, and maintenance of medical equipment
- Troubleshoot and complete minor repairs (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, cosmetic)
- Conduct preventive maintenance and pre-use inspections
- Use tools and diagnostic equipment to identify and correct issues
- Monitor readings from gauges and electronic measurement devices
Operations & Flexibility
- Adapt to changing priorities and daily schedules
- Plan and organize tasks to meet customer demand and deadlines
- Handle high-volume, time-sensitive workloads
Documentation & Systems
- Complete required documentation including service records, reports, and compliance forms
- Read and interpret technical manuals and service bulletins
- Utilize computers, tablets, and mobile devices to track work and enter data
- Support basic data tracking and reporting activities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous warehouse, mechanical, or hands-on technical experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Comfortable using basic tools and technology (PC, smartphone, tablet)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, and maneuver heavy equipment (up to 65 lbs manually; higher weights using equipment)
- Comfortable standing, walking, and performing repetitive tasks throughout the shift
