Weld Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Horicon, WI

Shift: Full-time, 1st shift (with flexibility to cover 3rd shift as needed)

Duration: 24 months, W2 Contract

Compensation: $44/hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program and troubleshoot robotic welding systems (e.g., Fanuc systems)
  • Investigate and analyze data to identify root causes of welding issues
  • Develop and revise routings, pay standards, layouts, weld tooling, and control plans
  • Implement cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvements
  • Utilize tools such as PDM, SAP, Wplanner/MPM, OMS, and Creo for engineering tasks
  • Design cell layouts to optimize material flow and presentation
  • Participate in factory capacity planning and productivity initiatives
  • Support the development of baseline data for wage performance pay plans

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in robotic welding applications within a manufacturing setting
  • Strong knowledge of weld processes, quality standards, tooling, and maintenance
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of the organization
  • Hands-on experience with MIG welding
