Job Title: Knowledge Management Partner
Contract Duration: 9 months, possible extension
Location: Kirkland, WA
Work Arrangement: Remote
Pay Range: $40-$45/hour
Summary
We are looking for a seasoned expert in the domains of enterprise knowledge management, program workflows and planning, and cross-functional relationships within fast-paced and complex working environments. This role serves as a key liaison between stakeholders and writers to deliver high-quality Knowledge Management (KM) projects. This involves meeting with stakeholders to determine KM needs, aligning with other relevant projects, and determining necessary resources for the KM Program. This person will create and maintain project plans to track and coordinate KM needs for global stakeholders, providing regular updates throughout the KM project lifecycle. Additionally, they will act as the primary point of contact for writers, addressing questions and guiding next steps to ensure seamless project execution in support of the KM Program.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with 100+ cross-functional, global stakeholders to understand their pain points, needs and goals as it relates to best representing their program content and knowledge
- Assist with prioritizing organizational goals, strategies and key initiatives as related to knowledge management
- Consult with teammates and cross-functional partners on their communication and change management strategies
- Distill complex source content from multiple teams/stakeholders into user-friendly language that guides employees through often complicated processes
- Partner daily with program owners and internal communications teams to ensure messaging alignment on timing, tone and desired outcomes
- Create and maintain KM workstream plans: essentially, an efficient and scalable system to track, anticipate and coordinate upcoming content needs of our global stakeholders
- Provide ongoing program updates and reporting to stakeholders, which requires a certain comfort level with data & analytics
- Identify future opportunities and strategies to advance content management strategies
- Participate in workshops, conduct meetings and promote trainings to align on, maintain and improve knowledge management
Qualification
- 4+ years of experience in project or program management experience in knowledge management or program management
- Experience executing independently on both the strategic and operational level Interpersonal and communication skills with experience with working knowledge of content management systems and user editing tools
- Experience learning new concepts, workflows, processes, and products, translating them into digestible information
- Experience working collaboratively across a wide variety of functions to drive effective outcomes
- Experience working on a team with ambiguity and evolving responsibilities
- Proficiency in project management, but formal certification not required
Top 3 Must-Have Skills
- Knowledge Manager title would allow or even a project manager with an MLIS – Masters of library and information science – Degree
- Strong project/program management
- Must work autonomously – have drive to work independently
- Fast Paced – tech background would be very helpful – extreme time handling skills
Good to Have Skills
- Certified KAM specialist, masters in library science
- Experience from 0 to go in a tech program – end to end process
- NOT taxonomist – but needs to be hands on, tactical project manager
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) or related field preferred.
