$40-42 per hour
We’re hiring a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support Axle Carrier Machining operations within a high?volume manufacturing environment. This role drives safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement while leading machining?related problem solving and process discipline.
What You’ll Do:
- Support Carrier Machining process engineering activities
- Drive Lean manufacturing and variability reduction initiatives
- Lead 8D / 5?Why corrective actions for machining quality issues
- Conduct process audits aligned with Powertrain Operations standards
- Deliver process sheets, work instructions, and capable machining processes
- Analyze inventory and reject root causes; implement corrective actions
- Perform ergonomic evaluations and lead improvements
- Identify throughput constraints and drive improvements to meet ROC targets
- Support ISO 14001 and environmental compliance requirements
- Ensure compliance with plant, corporate, and governmental standards
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years Manufacturing / Process Engineering experience
- CNC machining and/or CMM gaging experience
- Strong background in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement
- Hands?on experience with 8D, root cause analysis, and problem solving
- Proven ability to lead cross?functional teams
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- High School Diploma / GED required
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- PPAP, FMEA, DOE, Process Validation experience
- Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher)
- Ergonomic analysis, Kaizen, VSM, 5S, Poka?Yoke
- Powertrain / automotive manufacturing experience
- ISO 14001 internal audit experience
