Job Title: Office Assistant
Location: Orange, CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Contract: 2 months
Pay Rate: $15-18 per hour
Summary
The Office Assistant provides day-to-day administrative support to ensure efficient office operations. This role is responsible for managing clerical tasks, maintaining files, processing documentation, and supporting internal communication.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and type standard correspondence and form letters
- Set up, organize, maintain, and retrieve claim files
- Process documentation packets accurately and efficiently
- Perform data entry and ensure claim files are properly documented in internal systems
- Create and update spreadsheets and documents using standard software applications
- Answer incoming calls and initiate outbound calls as needed
- Maintain office supply inventory, including stationery
- Coordinate outgoing mail, including overnight and messenger services
- Process returned mail and unidentified correspondence
- Send and receive facsimiles
- Print reports and related documentation
Additional Duties
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned
- Support organizational quality programs and initiatives
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 6 months of clerical or administrative experience preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
