UI/UX Designer III
Location: Chicago, IL or Peoria, IL (Peoria preferred)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Remote with occasional onsite requirements)
Pay Rate: $51.00 – $55.00 per hour
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer III to join a collaborative product team focused on delivering intuitive, user-centered digital experiences. This role will partner closely with product owners, business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to design and deliver high-quality interfaces that align customer needs with business objectives.
The ideal candidate is passionate about user experience, highly proficient in Figma, and comfortable working independently while driving design best practices across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and user needs.
- Design user-centered digital experiences, workflows, and interfaces for complex applications and systems.
- Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and detailed UI specifications using Figma and other design tools.
- Apply customer research, usability principles, and industry best practices to drive design decisions.
- Develop UX artifacts such as personas, journey maps, storyboards, and user flows.
- Participate in design reviews, stakeholder presentations, and feedback sessions.
- Advocate for user experience principles and ensure consistency across products and platforms.
- Work effectively within project timelines, technical constraints, and business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support end-to-end customer experience initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 3 years of UX design experience.
- Strong proficiency with Figma (required).
- Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS).
- Experience designing digital products, applications, or complex user experiences.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively with product and engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing complex systems or enterprise applications.
- Experience with customer experience (CX) initiatives and service design.
- Proven ability to create personas, journey maps, and customer experience artifacts.
- Experience working in Agile product development environments.
