Facilities Buyer 

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Buyer to support procurement operations focused on facilities-related goods and services. This role is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing suppliers for maintenance, capital projects, and strategic sourcing initiatives across operations. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in facilities procurement, contract negotiation, and supplier management in a fast-paced environment.

  • Location: Merritt Island, FL (Onsite preferred; remote option for candidates in Eastern or Central Time Zone)
  • Shift Time: 40 hours/week
  • Pay Rate: $50/hour with benefits

Responsibilities

  • Manage suppliers and internal stakeholders to support facilities operations, maintenance, and capital projects
  • Prepare and issue RFPs/RFQs, perform price analysis, and lead contract negotiations
  • Develop and manage contracts including service agreements, construction contracts, and long-term agreements (LTAs)
  • Own the full procurement lifecycle from requisition through invoice resolution
  • Lead sourcing strategy for facilities categories such as MRO, building services, and equipment
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and services within budget and quality standards
  • Support procurement strategy and align with organizational goals
  • Maintain supplier performance, relationships, and compliance

Required / Preferred Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of procurement or supply chain experience (or 3+ years with Master’s)
  • Experience procuring facilities-related goods/services (MRO, HVAC, electrical, construction, building services)
  • Strong negotiation and contract management background
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
  • Experience with contract types such as FFP and T&M
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with OSHA or similar compliance standards
  • Ability to interpret statements of work and technical documentation

Preferred:

  • Experience with ERP/procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Ariba, Costpoint, Maximo)
  • Background in aerospace, manufacturing, construction, or facilities environments
  • Knowledge of ITAR/EAR regulations
  • Certifications: CPSM, CSCP, PMP, FMP, or CFM
  • Experience with tools such as Deltek Costpoint, Jira, SharePoint, or CMMS platforms
