C/C++ and Python Developer

Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced C/C++ and Python Developer to join the SYNC BSP Team, responsible for developing and supporting the foundational software layers that power Ford’s SYNC4 infotainment platform.
This team owns critical low-level software components, including kernel drivers, operating system services, file systems, networking, graphics, USB, Wi-Fi, startup services, and camera services. The ideal candidate will have strong embedded systems expertise and a passion for troubleshooting complex system-level issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain C/C++ services for Ford’s SYNC infotainment platform.
- Design, develop, test, and support embedded software components and system services.
- Investigate and resolve complex operating system, kernel, and BSP-related issues reported by internal teams and customers.
- Participate in software architecture, design reviews, documentation, and testing activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality infotainment solutions.
- Support the full software development lifecycle from requirements through deployment and maintenance.
- Analyze system-level failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective solutions.
- Contribute to automation and scripting efforts using Python.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience developing software for embedded systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with C/C++ programming in production environments.

- Python scripting and automation experience.
- Experience with Jira or similar work tracking tools.
- Exposure to automated testing and acceptance testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of infotainment, automotive, or embedded Linux platforms.
